Thanking Forest Guardian by Bringing Health Services Closer
As a thank you to the communities around the forest because they have protected the forest, as well as providing solutions to challenges that threaten forest sustainability, ASRI has been running a Mobile Clinic program since 2007 around Sukadana and Ketapang, West Kalimantan. Thousands of people have been served by the ASRI Mobile Clinic. Throughout 2023 alone, 891 ASRI Mobile Clinic patients will receive health services. Currently, ASRI still serves 3 villages with a total of 7 hamlets around Gunung Palung National Park.
ASRI's 5-year survey and the still difficult access to health services means that the ASRI Mobile Clinic is recognized by the public as still very much needed. Non-cash payments with tree seeds and handicrafts, as well as discounts on medical treatment based on the community's level of commitment to protecting forests are things that make it easier for people to access health care.
You can join us in saving lives and forests. The sustainability of this program which helps reduce the distance and costs for communities around the forest in accessing health services can be guaranteed thanks to you. Come together with us to create a healthy, prosperous society and sustainable nature!
