Empower Local Tailors: 1000 Masks Distributed
On May 11 2020 ASRI handed over assistance for handling Covid-19 to the Chair of the KKU Covid-19 Task Force (North Kayong Regency) in the form of 250 hazmat/coveralls, 50 boxes or 5000 pairs of medical gloves/handscoen, 50 boxes or 1000 surgical masks, and 250 KN95 masks.
ASRI also handed over assistance in the form of 1000 cloth masks as a step to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while empowering women. These items are a contribution from ASRI together with donors to support KKU's readiness in dealing with Covid-19.
"We hope that this assistance can increase our collective preparedness in facing Covid-19. Health workers need our full support, because who knows, maybe tomorrow we will be cared for by them. Our important message is for the public to remain vigilant by wearing masks and maintaining distance, as well as avoiding stigma or exclusion from ODP, PDP and people who are confirmed positive. Today they are, maybe tomorrow we are. "Let's support each other so that together we can get through this pandemic well," said Nur Febriani, SKM, MA as Executive Director of ASRI.
